#TBT Founding Fathers at Betacon

We were privileged to host nine Founding Fathers at Betacon 2016 during the 30th anniversary banquet. They shared their memories about starting a Latino based fraternity in Iowa in 1986 and expressed their amazement to how far the fraternity has come since their time. Undergrads and alumni alike were acting like neos since everyone wanted a picture with the Founding Fathers.
I enjoyed reading this throwback to Betacon 2016, especially hearing the Founding Fathers reflect on the fraternity’s beginnings and how much it has grown since 1986. Seeing undergrads and alumni excited to meet them also shows how strongly history can connect different generations.
