Sigma Lambda Beta Appoints New Executive Director
Sigma Lambda Beta appoints New Executive Director
North Liberty, IA – The Executive Board of Directors has appointed Ricardo Cortez as the new Executive Director of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc.
Brother Ricardo Cortez, having previously served as Director of Expansion, Director of Member Services and Development, and Assistant Executive Director understands the goals and direction of our organization. It is his demonstrated proficiency and leadership in business matters, organizational operations, and overall mission focus that makes him the right choice to be our new Executive Director.
After 6 months of reviewing over a dozen candidates and narrowing down our selection, Bro. Ricardo was the best candidate to help us tackle changes and new initiatives as we move into the next academic year.
Bro. John Dimas, EBOD member and part of the search committee, said, “(Bro.) Ricky’s experience with the collegiate, regional, and alumni leaders will be of tremendous value towards our efforts to deliver the SLB mission starting now.”
Bro. Ricardo is a graduate of the University of Florida where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Parks and Tourism. He is also a very proud alumnus of the Revolutionary Zeta Beta Chapter where he first discovered his passion for being a leader. Upon his appointment, Bro. Ricardo stated, “This is a great time for SLB and I’m very excited to continue working with our membership to take SLB to the next level.”
If you haven’t done so, please extend your welcome to our new ED!
