Role

Bro. Joel has been with the Executive Office since January of 2022 and is currently the Director of Alumni & Donor Development. Joel oversees the growth of the '86 Club, the maintenance of Alumni Networks and Associations, and other fundraising initiatives. 

About Me

Joel is a Brother from Western Illinois University (Beta Chapter). He has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Masters degrees in Educational Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction. Joel has almost 30 years of experience in Education. He has taught kindergarten through eighth grade, coached basketball and track at the middle and high school levels, and has been an Assistant Principal, Preschool Director, and Principal.

Married to Raquel for 28 years; they have two daughters and two Pitbulls living outside of Nashville.

He has been a Brother for over 34 years. Sigma Lambda Beta is not a fraternity to him; it's his family! Joel is very excited about helping the growth of our Alumni. He looks forward to working closely with all Alumni - new and old! #1SLB
